This kit comes with the carburetor TUV approval according to current regulations in terms of pollution
The new HSR42 carburetor is designed with a flat valve which slides on roller bearings. Unlike the throttle valve, which partially obstructs the venturi at all openings creating turbulence in the gaseous flow and making inaccurate dosing of the air / petrol mixture, the flat valve allows to leave completely free the venturi at full opening, leaving flow more air and obtaining a more precise carburetion at all apertures. HSR42 has a very prompt response thanks to its flat valve bearing, offering a smoother throttle control and allows the use
a return spring of the accelerator very light. With its 42 mm venturi, the HSR42 let it flow 20% more air than the HSR40 with venturi 40, which makes it the ideal carburetor for Evolution 1340 and Twin Cam engines with other performance modifications as big bore kits, cams, pistons and exhaust system.
The HSR42 Mikuni actually let flow more air at full aperture to increase the maximum power. For partial opening, the venturi smaller but with faster flow and its advanced control system of fuel produce a better power curve and driveability. Other aspects of the new performing comprise a carburetor float bowl more capacious and a fuel valve which allows increased long periods of use at full aperture. Also improved action of the linkage of the float prevents the possibility that the pan is filled too much or that the needle valve flooding. This makes it unnecessary breather hoses and overflow, thus giving the carburetor a cleaner appearance. A pump adjustable acceleration produces an instantaneous response at all engine speeds. Test kits should be used with serial cables for Big Twins from 1990 to present. Other features are the immediate response of the engine, improving throttle control, more power in midrange torque for quick acceleration and overtaking subsidized, fuel economy and years of service
