Exhaust manufactured by Vance & Hines modified to CE regulations with an EC/ABE approved cartridge baffle and catalytic converter. This makes the Thorcat a 100% legal exhaust system. The “Anarchy” 2-2 starts out as a regular set of Vance & Hines Shortshots Staggered before being modified with a Thorcat “X Torque” crossover system between the head tubes. The result is a marked improvement in torque and an extraordinarily deep exhaust note that meets the noise levels required for CE approval. Features 1-3/4" stepped headers to a 2-1/2" muffler body and full-length heat shields with 220° coverage that are virtually invisible. Note: Euro 4 certified exhaust with EC/ABE approved non-removable cartridge baffle and catalytic converter. What is a Thorcat exhaust system? Thorcat are original Vance & Hines exhaust systems that have been modified by replacing the original baffle with an EC/ABE approved Thorcat cartridge baffle and a catalytic converter is also added. These modifications result in a 100% street legal and EC and ABE (Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis) approved exhaust system. With a Thorcat you get excellent manufacturing quality from Vance & Hines and a smile on your face when you get pulled over, safe in the knowledge that your exhaust is legal throughout the European Union. What exactly has changed? For Euro 4 systems the original Vance & Hines baffle is replaced by a CE approved Thorcat cartridge baffle and a catalytic converter is also added. Cartridge baffles and catalytic converters are welded in place and are non-removable. For which motorbikes is the approval valid? The EC/ABE certification is valid for unmodified production motorcycles, for the specific models and model years mentioned in the product descriptions. Register your Thorcat? Each Thorcat exhaust and individual components used for homologation have a unique serial number. You must provide your motorcycle's VIN number (chassis number) to register your exhaust system in the Thorcat register; a document is included on how to do this. Once registered, you will receive a Thorcat ID card which can be used to prove the legality of your exhaust system.
