Tech Tip:
Pre-2021 US mufflers on a 2021+ EU Softail/Touring?
2021+ US models only have 2 O2 sensors in the header pipes. 2021+ EU models (Euro 5 system) have a total of 3 or 4 O2 sensors, also 1 or 2 downstream in the muffler(s) or cross-section balance pipe.
Therefore 2021-2024 US exhaust systems will not fit 2021-2024 EU models.
The O2 Eliminator Plug-in Connector (see accessories) allows the 2nd downstream muffler O2 sensor to be disabled, without triggering fault codes.
This will allow the use of pre-2021 US or EU exhaust mufflers that do not have a downstream O2 sensor connection.
