Steel fuel tank. Pressure-tested TIG welds Small, custom-built 8.3-liter (2.2-gallon) fuel tank with universal mounting tabs for easy installation. With a right-side 3/8" NPT fuel valve connection. The left-side connection is threaded with a 1/2"-20 thread and can be used as a drain plug for easy emptying of used fuel after winter storage. The drain plug is not included. Compatible with pre-1983 bayonet fuel caps.
Approximate dimensions: 14-3/4" (37.5 cm) long x 7-3/4" (19.7 cm) wide. Front tunnel height: 3" (7.6 cm), rear 1 3/4" (4.4 cm), length 15" (38 cm).
Note: These tanks have been tested, inspected in their raw finish, and are ready for painting. Internal cleaning required before installation.

The emergency tank comes with a steel bracket for mounting almost anywhere. For motorcycles, it is commonly mounted on the down tubes of the motorcycle frame, but any secure location will do. Please note that mounting hardware is not included.
