This oxygen sensor eliminator is ideal for running your motorcycle without O2 sensors.
This simulates a cold sensor condition so that the ECM operates in "open loop."
Motorcycle manufacturers equip exhaust systems with O2 sensors to measure the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gases of internal combustion engines. The ECU calculates the value measured by the O2 sensor and, if necessary, dynamically adjusts the air-fuel ratio for two main reasons: to keep emissions as low as possible and fuel consumption as low as possible.
However, maintaining emissions usually means the motorcycle runs lean, primarily in the lower rpm range, with choppy power, delayed throttle response, and a jerky feel.
Whether you want to disconnect a faulty O2 sensor or choose a dyno tune, the O2 sensor is your way. Either way, disconnecting the O2 sensor from the MMOT's main wiring harness will instantly reflect in the FI light coming on.
The OS eliminator eliminates the FI light as soon as it's connected to the O2 sensor connector.
No splicing or other modifications to the bike's original wiring harness are required.
A 100% plug-and-go solution!
Features:
Improves throttle response, delivers smoother power, and increased torque in the low and mid-range RPMs.
Supports aftermarket fuel regulators that require oxygen sensor elimination.
Complements the installation of aftermarket exhaust systems that don't have an oxygen sensor port.
Can be used to replace a malfunctioning oxygen sensor.
Plug-and-play design, no wire cutting required.
Allows air/fuel ratio changes at idle and part-throttle for racing applications.
Operating Voltage: 12-15V
Dimensions: 140mm x 40mm (US 0.55" x 1.58")
Priced per pair for front and rear sensors
Installation:
The connection is very easy; simply follow the wires from the oxygen sensor to the harness until you find the connector, then disconnect it and plug the eliminator in place.
Unscrew the sensor from the exhaust and install the plug in its place.
For motorcycles with two oxygen sensors (see list of eliminator kits that contain two eliminators), use the above procedure for each oxygen sensor.
Make sure the eliminator plug's plug exactly matches the original O2 sensor wire plug.
Warning: On 2018-later M8 Softail models, we cannot guarantee that this product will clear the dashboard error code even after a retune. We still recommend using these plugs after removing the O2 sensors to help protect the exposed sensor connection from the elements.
